Halloween Elsa Makeup Tutorial

It's the beginning of October, so my blog and especially my Youtube will have a few Halloween tutorials. To start it off, I did a tutorial based on the makeup that Princess Elsa from Frozen wears.

First, prime your lids. I am using NARS Pro Prime.

Add a base shadow since we'll be adding a lot of colored shadows that need to be blended well.  I am using a Sigma E60 to apply and using Mac Blanc Type (matte, cream) as my base shadow.

Elsa has a very purple shadow on her lid so I am using Urban Decay Urban (shimmer, bright purple) and I applied with a Mac 242.

The center of her lid is lighter, so I am using Makeup Forever Eyeshadow in I 528 (Shimmer/irredecent, white). I used a MAC 242 to apply it just to the center of the lid.

Elsa has a lot of colors on her lids--purple then pink and orange. The pink and orange are quite warm, so I am applying some Mac Saddle (matte, warm brown) and blending outwards using a fluffy brush.

There is also a touch of brown, so grab some Mac Brun (matte, black brown) and put it in both the inner corner and outer quarter of the crease. I followed my reference images of Elsa to figure out the placement.

Now for the pretty fade Elsa has. Take a blending brush with some of Urban Decay Savage (matte, hot pink) and add it into the crease.

Place Urban Decay Slowburn (matte with pearl, orange) just above the pink, being careful to keep it soft. I used a blending bush for this as well.

Carefully blend the pink and orange together.

Take Mac Wedge on a pencil brush and run it along the lower lash line.

Elsa has no shadow, but very full lashes on her lower lash line. I opted for a bit of black eye shadow blended to give the effect of fuller lashes.

Add a touch of liner on the upper lash line, since Elsa has crazy-full lashes.

Add some mascara. In the final look I also added House of Lashes Pixie Luxe Lashes, since Elsa has very full lashes. She also has dark brows compared to her hair color, so I made my brows darker than normal.

Elsa wears a warm pink blush and a warm pink lip. She also has thin lips, so I drew mine just inside the lipline. I also contoured to keep my face rounder. These steps can be done if you wanna look more like Elsa, rather than looking like you're wearing her makeup.
